The IPA01216DFx-HS from Ideal Power Inc. is a Bidirectional Intelligent Power Module that has been designed for easy and seamless system design.  It requires an input voltage of 15 V. This PMIC is based on Ideal Power's innovative B-TRAN technology provided in a novel packaging design technique that reduces the thermal resistance of the package while enhancing the power density of the module. It has an integrated driver that provides driving power for B-TRAN dies with protection features such as overcurrent protection, under-voltage protection, temperature sensing, and a dedicated FLT pin. This power module offers bidirectional switching with ultra-low on-state voltage drop and low parasitic inductance and capacitance. It has a switching frequency of up to 35 kHz with minimal switching losses thus improving power efficiency. This PMIC is available as a module that measures 120 x 70 x 39 mm and is ideal for solid-state circuit breakers, battery disconnect switches, Vienna rectifiers, T-type inverters, and matrix converter applications.
