The PD-9501GR/AC from Microchip Technology is an IEEE 802.3at-Compliant Single-Port Power-Over-Ethernet Injector that has been designed to remotely power current and emerging high-power applications. It requires an input voltage of 100-240 V and delivers an output power of 60 W (over 4 pairs) with a data rate of up to 1 Gbps. This power-over-ethernet (PoE) injector is specifically designed to power IEEE 802.11n and IEEE 802.3at-compliant access points (APs), pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ), dome cameras, IP video phones, thin clients, and other Ethernet user terminals. It also offers backward-compatibility with IEEE 802.3af-compliant terminals such as VoIP phones, IP cameras, and wireless LAN APs.
This WEEE-compliant PoE injector can deliver power to both existing 10/100Base-T devices as well as emerging wireless Gigabit devices. It provides status indications on AC and channel power, ensuring reliable power and data transfer. This plug-and-play injector also incorporates spare pairs for power delivery in case of faults in the data pairs, which results in high reliability. It is available in a module that measures 62 x 38 x 151 mm. This injector is ideal for Gigabit midspan applications.
