The Si3474A-A01-IM from Skyworks Solutions is a Programmable Ethernet Port PSE Controller that is ideal for IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt power sourcing equipment (PSE), power over Ethernet switches, IP phone systems, smart grid switches, ruggedized and industrial switch applications. This power over Ethernet (PoE) controller requires a supply voltage of 3 - 50 V. It integrates eight independent ports, each equipped with the necessary functionality for powered device (PD) detection and classification, enabling efficient power management. It supports both 802.3af/802.3at (two-pair power) and 802.3bt (four-pair power) operation, providing four or eight Ethernet connections, depending on the configuration used.
This PoE controller offers advanced features for efficient power management, including a fully programmable architecture for PD disconnect using DC-sense algorithms, multipoint detection, and per-port current and voltage monitoring.
