The INN4176C-H188 from Power Integrations is an Offline CV/CC ZVS Flyback Switcher IC that is suitable for use in high-density flyback designs up to 220 W, high-efficiency CV/CC power supplies, and high-efficiency USB PD adapters. It requires an input voltage of 85-264 V. This IC delivers an output power of 180 W (adapter) and 200 W (open-frame) and has an efficiency of up to 95%. It can dramatically improve the efficiency of flyback power converters, particularly those requiring a compact form-factor. This switch IC consists of zero voltage switching (ZVS)-based primary and secondary controllers with a driver, a PowiGaN power switch, and safety-related feedback FluxLink) mechanism in a single package. It uses a unique control algorithm that enables ZVS in both continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), and has a switching frequency of up to 155 kHz.
