The BV1HAC85EFJ-CE2 from ROHM Semiconductor is an Automotive-Grade High-Side Load Switch that is ideal for resistance load, inductance load, and capacitive load in automotive applications. It requires an input voltage of 8-28 V. This load switch has been designed to support functional safety to enable safe integration into automotive electronics systems. It consists of a control logic block, N-channel power MOSFETs, a gate control circuit, clamping circuit, an internal supply, and built-in protection circuitries. This AEC-Q100-qualified switch IC allows the output soft-start time to be adjusted according to changing current conditions. It is also equipped with over-current protection and thermal shutdown, and has a pin that signals error flag output. This load switch is available in a surface-mount package that measures 4.9 x 6.0 x 1.0 mm.
