The T173-2500-18 from Proton-Electrotex JSC is a Phase Control Thyristor that is ideal for electrical systems in various industries, including AC and DC circuits operating as per industry standards or at increased frequencies. It has a break-over voltage of up to 1800 V and a break-over current of less than 3925 A (RMS). This silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) has a gate trigger voltage of 3 V and a gate trigger current of 250 mA. It offers high power cycling capability and can handle a surge current (half-sine wave waveform) of 79 kA for 10 ms. This thyristor has a turn-on time of up to 3 µs and a turn-off time of less than 250/230/400/500 µs, while maintaining low on-state and switching losses.
