The RSP150-168 from Recom Power is a Surge Protector Module that has been designed to protect DC-DC converters from railway over-voltage transients of up to 385 V. It requires an input voltage of 40 - 160 V and delivers an output power of up to 150 W. This REACH compliant protector module clamps the output voltage to 168 V when the output voltage tracks the input voltage in the range of 40 - 165 V. It can be simply connected in series with the input of RP40-110xxSFR, RP40Q-110xxSRUW, RP60Q-110xxSRUW, RP75H-110xxSRW, RP90Q-110xxSRW, RPA100H-110xxSRUW, RPA120H-110xxSRW, and RP120Q-110xxSRW converter families to make them compliant to both RIA12 and NF F 01-510 surge immunity specifications. This RoHS-compliant protector IC is available in a through-hole package that measures 40.6 x 25.4 x 10.2 mm and is ideal for voltage protection applications.
