The QK006NH4RP from Littlefuse is a Solid-State Alternistor Triac that is designed to enable extreme inductive loads requiring the highest commutation performance. It has a break-over voltage of up to 1000 V and a break-over current of less than 6 A. It has a gate trigger voltage of 1.3 V and a gate trigger current of less than 35 mA. This device is an alternator-type solution that operates in quadrants I, II, and III and can be connected to circuits that require a high dv/dt capability. It consists of a glass-passivated junction and requires a short gate activation pulse during each half-cycle. This UL-certified Triac offers solid-state switching that eliminates arcing or contact bounce to create voltage transients.

This RoHS-compliant triac is available in a surface-mount package that measures 10.67 x 15.88 x 4.78 mm and is ideal for AC switching and phase control applications.
