The BTA440Z-1200AT from WeEN Semiconductors is a Planar Passivated High Commutation Three-Quadrant Triac designed for use in circuits where high static and dynamic dV/dt and high dI/dt can occur. It has a break-over voltage of 1200 V and a break-over current of less than 40 A. This thyristor has a gate trigger voltage of up to 1.2 V and a gate trigger current of less than 75 mA. It has a peak gate power of 40 W and a peak gate current of 8 A. This high-current triac uses 3Q technology for improved noise immunity. It has high commutation capability with maximum false trigger immunity and high immunity to false turn-on by dV/dt. This triac has high voltage capability and low thermal resistance. It is available in a through-hole package that measures 36.7 x 15.5 x 4.95 mm and is ideal for high temperature, high current, high surge and high power industrial controls.
