The V2AF109C200Y1F from Kyocera AVX is an Automotive Qualified Multilayer Ceramic Transient Voltage Suppressor that is designed to suppress transient events faster than any bipolar TVS device on the market and provides significant electromagnetic interference (EMI) attenuation. It has an AC voltage rating of 6.4 V and a DC voltage rating of 9.0 V. This varistor has a clamping voltage of 22 V. It combines Kyocera’s TransGuard transient voltage suppressors (TVS) and its Feedthru capacitors in a single chip for state-of-the-art over-voltage circuit protection and EMI reduction over a broad range of frequencies. This multilayer varistor is optimized in design that results in faster turn-on time to quickly respond to voltage transients and enhanced attenuation characteristics to not only offer greater attenuation but also a flatter roll-off characteristic, which provides broadband EMI filtering.

The V2AF109C200Y1F satisfies the requirements of designers concerned with both transient voltage protection along with EMI attenuation, either due to the electrical performance of their circuits or due to required compliance with specific EMI regulations.
