iMySolar Launches Ultra-Efficient Shingled Modules for Modern PV Installations

iMySolar, a leading solar module manufacturer, is advancing photovoltaic performance with its next-generation MYSOLAR Shingled Series modules. These panels leverage shingled-cell architecture to deliver higher power output, improved reliability, and lower system costs, making them ideal for both rooftop and commercial installations.

Next-Generation Shingled Technology

The MYSOLAR shingled panels use 210 × 210 mm silicon wafers and connect them without traditional busbars.  By overlapping (“shingling”) cell strips and bonding them with conductive adhesive, iMySolar reduces internal resistance and improves current collection efficiency. This architecture supports ultra-high power modules in the MYSOLAR GOLD line, with ratings ranging from 420 W to 670 W, depending on the model. For instance, the bifacial MS670PM6-DB69 delivers up to 670 W with a module efficiency reaching 21.6%.

Technical Advantages & Electrical Performance

Reduced Balance-of-System (BOS) Costs: The shingled design minimizes BOS expenses by up to 9.7% because of fewer interconnect components and simplified module layout.

Increased Energy Yield: Enhanced electricity generation, with up to 1.08% more output, is achieved through improved interconnects and reduced resistive losses.

Enhanced Durability: The modules show reduced micro-crack risk, better hot-spot resistance, and improved PID (Potential Induced Degradation) and LID (Light-Induced Degradation) performance.

Low-Temperature Manufacturing: The production process is optimized to run under lower temperatures, which helps improve mechanical robustness. 

MYSOLAR’s shingled panels come with a longer warranty and lower degradation over time. The use of conductive adhesive (instead of soldered ribbons) increases mechanical flexibility and reduces stress on cell slices, resulting in greater resistance to thermal cycling and mechanical load.

iMySolar also offers double-glass bifacial variants, such as the MS640M-DB68 (640 W), which can generate 10-30% additional power from the rear side under favorable light conditions. The bifacial construction improves energy yield, particularly in utility-scale or commercial settings.
