Eaton Commences its New GEIS facility in Chennai

Eaton, an intelligent power management company, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new GEIS (Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions) facility in Sholinganallur, Chennai. This milestone marks a significant step in Eaton’s expansion in India and reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local manufacturing excellence.

The ceremony was led by Hon. Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin and senior government officials of the Tamil Nadu Government with key Eaton executives including Simon Matthieson, Vice President & General Manager, EMEA for GEIS, Eaton; Marine Drive, Country Head and Managing Director for India, Eaton; and Philipose Jacob, Country Director of GEIS India, Eaton.

The new 100,000 sq. ft. facility will feature advanced manufacturing floors, R&D capabilities, an experience center, and Eaton’s state-of-the-art headquarters for GEIS in India. Expected to be completed by the end of 2026, the facility will enhance Eaton’s ability to deliver innovative power management solutions across industries while strengthening India’s position as a strategic hub for the company’s global operations.
