ROHM Semiconductor has expanded its portfolio of transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes with the launch of the RESD5U2MAFA, a highly compact 5V, 25W device designed to provide robust surge and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection in space-constrained applications such as true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones and wearable devices.
The new diode comes in an ultra-miniature DFN1006-3 package, measuring just 1.0 × 0.6 × 0.4 mm, enabling electronics manufacturers to save valuable PCB space while ensuring high reliability in consumer and industrial designs.
The new device offers 5V reverse working voltage (VRWM) and a 25W peak pulse power rating (PPP, 8/20 μs), making it a reliable safeguard against transient surges and electrostatic discharge (ESD) events.
Features:
- Ultla small package(DFN1006-3)
- 2-Line protectionLow
- Low capacitance of 7.5 pF (typ.), supporting high-speed signal integrity
- ±7.5 kV ESD protection compliant with IEC61000-4-2 standards
- Maximum surge current of 2 A (8/20 μs pulse)
