The 4340 NiMH Series from Mascot AS are AC-DC Converters that step down an AC input voltage of 90-264 V to a DC output voltage of less than 64 V. They deliver an output power of up to 80 W and have an efficiency of 90%. These uncontrolled rectifiers can provide a power supply to different cell configurations such as 4-8, 6-8, 6-12, 8-12, 18-28, 15-30, and 20-40, and have a voltage sensitivity of 3 mV/cell. They include a safety timer function that allows the charger switch to trickle the charge if no change in voltage is detected before the timer runs out.
These AC-DC converters also incorporate a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) input (upon request) that stops fast charging operation when the temperature increase exceeds 0.5°C/minute. They integrate LED lights that provide status indications, soft start, and fast charging modes. These converters are available as IP4X-rated modules that measure 172.5 x 73 x 42 mm.
