The AOZ23567QI from Alpha & Omega Semiconductor is a DC-DC Synchronous Buck Regulator that converts an input voltage of 4.5 - 28 V to an output voltage of 0.6 - 0.85 V. It delivers an output current of up to 22 A. This converter uses a proprietary constant on-time pulse width modulation (PWM) control with input feed-forward, providing a very fast transient response and maintaining a stable switching frequency across varying input voltages. It has an on-time of over 70 ns to support very low output voltage at high frequencies. This converter has an integrated AC ripple injection feature that enables the use of all-ceramic low equivalent series resistance (ESR) capacitors that contribute to a reduced PCB size. It offers selectable pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode for optimized light load efficiency and forced pulse width modulation (PWM) mode for consistent frequency and reduced harmonic noise.
This buck regulator includes under-voltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limit, output over-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown for high reliability. It provides adjustable settings for both current limits and soft-start functions, along with a power-good output signal to indicate proper operation. This buck regulator is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5 x 5 mm and is ideal for compact PCs, gaming systems, set-top boxes, LCD TVs, server and storage systems, datacom and networking, embedded computing, and point-of-load DC/DC converter applications.
