The AP62400WU-7 from Diodes Incorporated is a Synchronous Buck DC-DC Converter that converts an input voltage of 4.2 - 18 V to an output voltage of 0.8 - 7 V. This converter fully integrates a 50 milli-ohms high-side power MOSFET and a 22 milli-ohms low-side power MOSFET to deliver high-efficiency step-down DC-DC conversion. It minimizes the external component count due to its adoption of a constant on-time control technique to achieve fast transient response, easy loop stabilization, and low output voltage ripple.

This DC-DC converter is also optimized for electromagnetic interference (EMI) reduction. It has a proprietary gate driver scheme to resist switching node ringing without sacrificing MOSFET turn-ON and turn-OFF times, which reduces the high-frequency radiated EMI noise. To ensure high reliability, this converter has under-voltage lockout (UVLO), cycle-by-cycle valley current limit, and thermal shutdown functions. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 2.800 x 2.800 mm and is ideal for gaming consoles, FPGA/DSP/ASIC power supplies, network systems, 5 V and 12 V distributed power bus supplies, and home audio applications.
