The MGDx-04 from Gaia Converter are Isolated DC to DC Converters that convert an input voltage of 4-40 V to an output voltage of 3.3-15 V. These converters are available in single, dual, and triple output configurations and have galvanic isolation of up to 1500 VDC. They deliver an output power of up to 4 W and have an efficiency of up to 80%. These converters use a high frequency fixed switching technique at 480 kHz thus providing excellent reliability, low noise characteristics, and high power density. They consist of a soft-start, short circuit, and output overvoltage protection circuitries to ensure efficient module protection. The soft-start allows current limitations and eliminates inrush current during start-up. The short circuit protection completely protects the converter against short-circuits of any duration by a shut-down feature and restores to normal when the overload is removed.

The MGDx-04 are designed with LC EMI network filters to minimize reflected input current ripple and output voltage ripple according to EN55022 and FCC Part 15J standards. They are available in a module that measures 32 x 19.3 x 7.5 mm and are ideal for aerospace, military, and high-end industrial applications.
