The 171010560 from Wurth Elektronik is a Variable Step-Down Converter Module that converts an input voltage of 2.5-5.5 V to an output voltage of 0.6-4 V. It integrates a shielded inductor, a switching regulator with integrated MOSFETs, a controller, and compensation. This converter offers high efficiency and delivers up to 1A of output current. It features an advanced automatic mode transition between PFM and PWM to ensure optimized efficiency and minimal ripple at all load conditions.  

This RoHS/REACH-compliant power module features built-in protective circuitry that uses output overvoltage, short circuit, undervoltage, and overcurrent detection to prevent electrical damage and thermal shutdown to prevent thermal overstress. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3.5 x 3.5 x 1.5 mm and is ideal for general point of load power supply for low-power systems, replacement of linear regulators, DSP and FPGA power supply, auxiliary voltages, portable instruments, and battery-powered equipment.
