The LYT6063C from Power Integrations is a High-Efficiency Flyback LED Driver IC that integrates a high-voltage power switch, synchronous rectifier driver, and isolated feedback into a single compact package. It delivers up to 25 W output power (open-frame design) across an input range of 85-305 VAC or 380/450 VDC. This IC combines primary and secondary control for accurate constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) regulation, independent of external components or transformer design. The LYT6063C incorporates advanced PowiGaN technology, a multi-mode Quasi-Resonant (QR), CCM, and DCM flyback controller, and FluxLink isolation for high-speed, high-fidelity feedback communication. It achieves efficiency of up to 94% while maintaining ultra-low no-load power consumption of less than 30 mW.
This LED driver includes extensive protection features such as input overvoltage, output undervoltage/overvoltage, open SR FET gate detection, brown-in threshold detection, and thermal foldback for safe operation in high-temperature environments. This RoHS-compliant LED driver is housed in a thermally-enhanced InSOP-24D surface-mount package and is ideal for Isolated off-line LED drivers, smart LED lighting, and high-voltage flyback post-regulator applications.
