The LYT6070C-H125 from Power Integrations is a Flyback CV/CC LED Driver IC that dramatically simplifies the development and manufacturing of off-line LED drivers, particularly those in compact enclosures or with high efficiency requirements. It requires an input voltage of 85-230 V (AC) and over 90/220 V (DC). This IC delivers an output power of 110 W and has an efficiency of up to 94%. It incorporates a multi-mode quasi-resonant (QR)/CCM/DCM flyback controller, a high-voltage switch, a secondary-side control, and a synchronous rectification driver. This driver uses a novel inductive coupling feedback scheme to provide a cost-effective means to communicate accurate, directly sensed output voltage/current from the secondary-side controller to the primary controller. 

This LED driver IC also integrates a FluxLink feedback link in close proximity with other components to accurately control of the secondary-side MOSFET rectifier and achieve high efficiency across the entire load range. The QR controller can operate in the CCM mode and uses variable frequency and current control mode schemes to set the values based on the load conditions. This driver is equipped with over-voltage, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and thermal foldback mechanisms to safeguard input and output terminals against damage. It has a no-load power consumption of less than 30 mW (with line sense), which meets Energy Star and other global lighting energy efficiency regulations. This RoHS-compliant driver is available in a surface-mount package that measures 13.43 x 9.40 mm. It is ideal for post regulators and smart LED lighting applications.
