The LYT6079C-H125 from Power Integrations is a Flyback CV/CC LED Driver IC that is ideal for isolated off-line LED drive, high-voltage flyback post regulator, and smart LED lighting applications. It requires an input voltage of 85-305 V. This driver delivers an output power of up to 100 W and has an efficiency of less than 94%. It can dramatically simplify the development and manufacturing of off-line LED drivers, particularly those in compact enclosures or with high efficiency requirements. The architecture of this driver includes a high-voltage switch, primary/secondary controllers with sense elements, and a FluxLink feedback mechanism. This feedback mechanism is a communication link located near the components, permitting accurate control of a secondary-side MOSFET with quasi-resonant switching of a primary-side switch to achieve high efficiency.
This LED driver is equipped with over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, FET open gate detection, and input voltage monitoring to prevent damage to the input and output ports.
