The NPOE-30W-1G from Eaton is a Gigabit PoE + Midspan Active Injector that has been designed to use the existing Cat5e/6/6a technology to supply power to a power over ethernet (PoE) device connected to a non-PoE switch. It requires an input voltage of 100 - 240 V. This injector delivers an output power of 30 W and a data rate of up to 1 Gbps. It supports type-2 PoE versions and standards such as IEEE 802.3, 802.3ab, 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3u. This active injector can be used to directly connect devices such as surveillance cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, or other PoE devices to a home or office network through the existing Cat 5e/6/6a cabling, thereby eliminating the need to use a separate PoE switch. It can deliver power over a range of up to 100 m, allowing this injector to be installed in a building lobby, on a ceiling, inside a warehouse, or in other locations where an AC outlet is unavailable. 

This PoE + active injector greatly saves time and money by eliminating unnecessary equipment costs, cabling clutter, installation time, and labor. It enables simple plug-and-play installation of devices and switches without requiring configuration or software updates. This active injector includes mounting holes for installation on a shelf, desktop, wall, or any other smooth surface with user-supplied hardware.
