The XC8108 Series from Torex Semiconductor are  High-Function P-Channel MOSFET Power Switches that have been designed for set-top boxes, digital TVs, personal computers, USB ports/USB hubs, and HDMI applications. They require an input voltage of 2.5 - 5.5 V and provide an output current of 2 A. These power switches have a low ON resistance of 85 milli-ohms. It incorporates current limit, reverse current prevention, soft start, thermal shutdown, and under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protective functions. These switches have a flag function that monitors the power switch status. They feature a flag output that has an N-channel open drain structure and outputs a low-level signal while over-current or overheating is detected, or while the reverse current prevention is operated. These switches integrate a variable current limiting function that allows the current limit value to be set, using an external resistor. They provide status indications that are determined by the voltage level that is fed to the CE pin and the logic level of the CE pin is selectable between either active high or active low. These RoHS-compliant power switches are available in a surface mount package.
