The TLX9165T from Toshiba is an Automotive-Qualified Photo Relay that has been designed for battery control in automotive equipment, fuel battery control in automotive equipment, and electric vehicle applications. It requires an input voltage of up to 1500 V. This power switch IC integrates an infrared emitting diode, which is then optically coupled to a photo-MOSFET. It features a normally open (1-Form-A) switch configuration, which makes it ideal for high-voltage switching operations. This power switch provides superior insulation with a minimum clearance and creepage distance of 8 mm and an insulation thickness of 0.4 mm, meeting stringent safety standards.
