Fuji Electric has introduced the FA8C71N, a high-performance green-mode PWM control IC tailored for AC/DC flyback converters. Engineered to meet the rising demand for low-power, high-efficiency designs, this IC integrates advanced features that optimize standby power and light-load performance.
The FA8C71N boasts a built-in 710 V start-up circuit, enabling wide input voltage compatibility. Its proprietary burst operation control achieves standby power below 25 mW and efficiency exceeding 85% at 230 V AC with a 500 mW load. The device also includes a gate clamp circuit limited to 16 V, eliminating the need for external gate protection.
