MCC introduces the 1200 V Trench Field Stop (TFS) IGBT Series, designed to deliver efficient, rugged, and versatile power switching across industrial and automotive applications. Housed in the proven TO-247AB package and available in current ratings from 40 A to 80 A, these IGBTs combine low conduction and switching losses with fast, smooth transitions and integrated soft-recovery anti-parallel diodes.

Automotive-grade options are AEC-Q101 qualified with T_{J max} of 150°C, while industrial-grade variants support up to 175°C junction temperature for extended thermal headroom and long service life. The series is ideal for motor drives, UPS systems, EV traction and auxiliary systems, and high-power converters where efficiency, robustness, and predictable behavior under stress are critical. 

The trench field-stop architecture enables: 

• Low forward voltage and switching losses for improved efficiency and reduced thermal load 
• Integrated fast, soft-recovery diodes to minimize EMI and simplify filter design 
• High breakdown voltage (1200V) and positive temperature coefficient for stable current sharing and robust short-circuit performance
