The NB7123 Series from Nisshinbo Micro Devices are Single-Cell Li-ion/Li-Polymer Rechargeable Battery Protection ICs that are ideal for hearable/wearable devices, smartphones, and handheld data terminal applications. These battery protection ICs require an input voltage of 1.5 – 5 V and have a power dissipation of 150 mW. They feature high-accuracy overcharge/discharge, overcurrent, and temperature protection capabilities for external high-side FET transistors and sense resistors. These ICs incorporate built-in short-circuit protection to prevent excessive external short-circuit currents. They support temperature sensing by connecting a thermistor, which improves overall safety and reliability in battery management. These battery protection ICs are available in surface-mount packages measuring 1.66 x 1.08 x 0.38 mm.
