The XC8102 Series from Torex Semiconductor are Load Switch ICs that have been designed for smartphones/mobile phones, digital still cameras/camcorders, and portable game console applications. They require an input voltage of 1.2 - 6 V and provide an output current of 400 mA. These power switches integrate a P-channel MOSFET and are suited for power distribution switching operations. They have an ENABLE pin to provide ON/OFF control for each distribution switch to deliver a sufficient amount of power as per the requirements, which maximizes efficiency and leads to extended battery life and product operation time. These switches enter into standby mode upon applying a low voltage across the CE pin. They do not require external capacitors, which further minimizes the power unit design space. These power switches also incorporate over-current protection with foldback current circuitry to prevent short-circuit-related damages. They are available in surface mount packages.
