At the core of the SBSXPRO is a hybrid connector architecture that integrates three high-current power contacts with eight auxiliary signal contacts within a compact sealed housing. Unlike conventional battery connectors that typically provide two power contacts and a limited number of signal pins, the additional power contact supports the three-phase power architecture of modern BLDC motors, while the eight signal contacts enable extensive communication between the battery, motor controller, and onboard electronics. This integrated approach eliminates the need for separate power and signal connectors, reducing wiring complexity, improving packaging efficiency, and enhancing overall system reliability.

The auxiliary signaling interface is designed to support advanced battery management and equipment diagnostics. Its IP68-rated sealed construction protects against water and dust ingress and withstands submersion while mated, making it suitable for construction equipment, agricultural machinery, commercial lawn and garden equipment, and other outdoor battery-powered systems. A positive metal latching mechanism prevents accidental disconnection during operation, while an integrated cable clamp improves cable retention and strain relief. The connector is rated for operation from -20°C to 105°C and supports up to 5,000 mating cycles, ensuring long-term durability in demanding field applications.

Electrically, the SBSXPRO supports operating voltages up to 600 V and currents up to 140 A, enabling its use in high-power battery systems for commercial electric equipment. The combination of high-current capability and integrated signaling makes it particularly well suited for next-generation outdoor electric machines that incorporate smart control systems, lithium-ion battery packs, and high-efficiency brushless motor drives.
