The MP1907AGQ-7 from Monolithic Power Systems is an N-Channel Half-Bridge MOSFET Gate Driver IC that is ideal for battery-powered hand tools, telecom half-bridge power supplies, active-clamp forward converters, and avionics DC-DC conversion applications. It requires an input voltage of 4.5 - 18 V. This gate driver consists of a low-side and high-side driver, a level shifter, two N-channel MOSFETs, and protection circuitries. It can independently control both the low- and high-side driver channels and provides independent matching with a time delay of less than 5 ns. This driver utilizes under-voltage lockout (UVLO) circuitry to force both the driver outputs low when the power supply is insufficient and turns ON the drivers when the rising edge of the input is detected. It integrates a bootstrap diode to reduce the external component count. This gate driver is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3 x 3 mm.
