The NV1702 from Navitas Semiconductor is a Dual Channel Digital Isolated GaN Gate Driver. It requires an input voltage of 8-18 V and delivers 80 mA of pull-up current and 300 mA of pull-down current. This driver provides isolation above 10 kV surge voltage between any input or output combination and achieves a DC working voltage of 975 V (40-year rating). It is built on a double capacitive silicon isolation barrier supporting common-mode transients up to 200 V/ns and supports switching frequencies of up to 7 MHz. This gate driver utilizes a proprietary carrier-free modulation technique and a blanking feature to enhance noise immunity in hard-switching events. It regulates gate voltage internally to simplify system design and handles minimum pulse widths as short as 36 ns, and pulse-width distortion of less than 10 ns. This gate driver is available in a surface-mount package that measures 9.80 x 3.80 x 1.35 mm and is suitable for single-stage converters, DC-DC switched power supplies, high-voltage motor control, and high-voltage inverters.
