The 1ED3010MC12I from Infineon Technologies is a Single-Channel Isolated Gate Driver IC designed as a pin-to-pin compatible drop-in replacement for opto-isolated gate drivers for use with IGBTs, Si and SiC MOSFETs. It operates from 9.6-32 V and offers a source current of up to 6A and sink peak output current of 6.5 A. This gate driver has a propagation delay of 40 ns with 10 ns part-to-part matching (skew). It delivers a common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) exceeding 300 kV/µs and operates reliably up to 35 V output supply voltage, supported by galvanic isolation via coreless transformer technology. This RoHS-compliant driver incorporates protection features that include active shutdown, output undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and short-circuit clamping. It is suitable for industrial motor drives, ev charging, energy storage systems, solar inverters, server and telecom switched-mode power supplies (SMPS), UPS systems, commercial air-conditioning (CAC), high-voltage DC-DC converters and DC-AC inverter applications.
